Terms of Service
Last updated: June 24, 2026. Plain-English summary written for the closed beta; the final terms will be reviewed by counsel before public launch.
The short version
- Use Tweezer to build legal, non-harmful things.
- You own the apps you generate. We host them.
- Free accounts get a watermark and reasonable monthly limits. Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel.
- We can suspend accounts or remove apps that violate these terms.
Acceptable use
Don't use Tweezer to generate, host, or distribute content that:
- infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights;
- targets, harasses, or impersonates real people;
- contains malware, phishing pages, or credential-stealing forms;
- promotes violence, sexual content involving minors, or activities prohibited by US law;
- circumvents our generation limits, watermarking, or billing controls.
We use automated and manual review. Reports go to trust@tweezer.dev.
Your content
You own the prompts you write and the apps the platform generates from them. By making an app public you grant Tweezer a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, copy (for forks), and promote it within the service. Private apps are stored but not displayed to anyone else.
Generated code may include third-party libraries (React, Tailwind, shadcn/ui, etc.) which carry their own licenses. You're responsible for complying with those when you redistribute.
Billing
- Subscriptions are charged in advance, monthly or yearly, via Stripe.
- Cancel any time from the customer portal - your plan stays active until the end of the paid period.
- We don't offer refunds for partial months. We will refund obvious billing errors; email billing@tweezer.dev.
- Generation limits reset at the start of each billing period. Hitting the cap pauses generation until you upgrade or the period rolls over - no surprise overage charges.
Account termination
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate the acceptable-use rules, with reasonable notice except in cases of ongoing abuse. On termination your private data is deleted within 30 days; public app pages may remain accessible if other users have forked them, but with your account anonymized.
Disclaimers
Tweezer is provided "as is." Generated code is produced by AI models and may contain bugs, security issues, or licensing mismatches - review before deploying anything that handles real user data or money. We don't warrant uptime, fitness for purpose, or that generated apps will be free of defects.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Tweezer's total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $50 if you're on the free tier.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [to be set before public launch], USA. Disputes go to the state or federal courts located there.
Changes
Material changes will be announced by email at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
